About AgeLib

What is AgeLib?

AgeLib is an exciting combination of library catalog and digital library. It is a database of the aging-related resources of the UNC Institute on Aging Information Center -- everything from books and journals to web sites and electronic documents.

What will I find in AGELIB?

Using AgeLib, you can search our library collections, link to digital resources, and access online documents. Most of our collection is included in AgeLib. If you would like to know how we decide what goes into AgeLib, please read our collection policy. If you have items that you would like to suggest for inclusion, or if you have items that you would like to donate to our collection, please email us with the details.

Search Tips

A list of search tips is available on the help page.

AGELIB Subject Terms

AgeLib uses the AgeLine Thesaurus of Aging Terminology for subject terms. You can view a list of the subjects used in AgeLib, but we also recommend that you use the Thesaurus (available in print in our library) to understand how the terms are defined.

Note

AgeLib is always under development; we are working to improve it. If you have suggestions, you can email us with your ideas.
