This is a collection of other freely available educational modules and interactive web tools that might be useful in gerontology higher education. These links lead to sites outside the UNC Institute on Aging and are provided only as a service. The IOA does not endorse any of the content. S4: Stochastic Social Security Simulator (Mountain View Research)

--a web-based simulation of the Social Security Trust Fund which uses stochastic population and economic forecasts to compute randomized trajectories of the Social Security Trust Fund; still under development

Geriatric Medicine Self-Instruction Modules (Huffington Center on Aging, Baylor College of Medicine)

--a series of comprehensive modules distributed on the web and on CDROM; these are primarily text based with some video and interactive elements; currently available topics include geriatric assessment, congestive heart failure, care of the dying patient, and involuntary weight loss, with more planned for the future

Multidisciplinary Education in Geriatrics and Aging (Columbia University)
