I have 30+ years of college teaching experience including community college teaching and administration. I have been at UNC-Chapel Hill since 1991, teaching hematology to clinical laboratory science students. My areas of scholarly interest are in using laboratory tests to screen for disorders such as hereditary hemochromatosis and anemia, intergenerational differences in education and laboratory management, and college student retention. I am also involved in new program development and service to the professional society within my discipline. I have a BS degree in medical technology from Purdue University and a master's and PhD in educational psychology from Temple University.
