
My research work has mainly focused on infants and adolescents using the Cebu Longitudinal Health and Nutrition Study (CLHNS, Philippines), and more recently, The Infant Care, Feeding, and Risk of Obesity Study (North Carolina) of which I am the Project Manager. Dr. Linda Adair, the CLHNS Principal Investigator and also my Ph.D adviser, and I have recently submitted a proposal to the DEAR program which has been recommended for funding. We will examine the biological, psychosocial, and community factors that explain trajectories in health and functional outcomes among Filipino women using CLHNS data collected over a 22-year period.
