
Kathleen Nathan Lowe is a social worker, specializing in the field of geriatrics. In her current position with the Center for Aging Research and Educational Services, she provides continuing education to professionals who work with older adults and their families. Previously, she was the Director of Social Services at the Blumenthal Jewish Home and Resident Health Care Counselor at Friends Homes West, a continuing care retirement community. Kathy is a graduate of the University of Michigan and received her master's degree in clinical social work from Smith College School for Social Work. She is a member of NASW, the ACSW, and is a CMSW in the State of NC. Currently, she is the chair of the Aging Practice Unit of the NC Chapter of NASW and serves on the Governor's Advisory Council on Aging.
