Dr. Ilene Siegler is a Senior Research Scientist at the UNC Institute on Aging. She holds her primary appointment in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University as Professor of Medical Psychology. She holds secondary appointments as Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at Duke, Adjunct Professor of Epidemiology at the UNC Gillings School of Public Health, and Senior Research Scientist, Gerontology Center, University of Georgia. She is Director of the UNC Alumni Heart Study - a prospective epidemiologic study of ~ 5000 individuals who attended UNC in the 1960s and have been followed to understanding how they have aged from age 40-60.
